Catching up

by tim

Oh my, has the time gone by since my last blog. Sorry to my avid blog fans.          After I sobered up after the Pastor Dan Martini Festival, we have been quite swamped with bike work. More repairs and fewer employees than usual.          Many folks are dropping off bikes who want them ready by yesterday. Lots of folks are getting ready for vacation season.  Some folks are making the lifestyle change of adding exercise to their daily routine.          This spring, with the gas prices getting as high as they are, there has been a strong interest in getting bikes fixed up to commute to work or school. Commuters have been coming in for racks, grocery bags that hitch to your rack, lights for night riding & other neat accessories that make it easier to commute by bike.          Even though it has been busy, I have been able to get out and ride my bike. YaaaaHoooooo!  What a pleasure.  I have even had the opportunity to go to one mountain bike race this spring. Forty miles of fun in the mud.  The race was two and a half hours long and it took me two and a half hours to clean my bike off afterward. It was one of those muddy sandy races were sand and grit got into every part of your bike and every orifice of your body.          I hope to be a bit more bloggy in the future. I will try to get more tales of the bike shop to you as they happen. Take care to all & hope you are able to get out and ride.
