On the winter trail.
by timHere is my bike, getting the shake down. I am adding equipment to my bike and my body, and testing it out to see if it can handle the cold. I am sure the bike can handle it, not sure about my body. I borrowed the big mitts from my Father, I got them for him 18 years ago for his four-wheeler. They were not being used, so thought they would come in handy, ha get it, Handy!
Out on the snowmobile trails it is very quite and scenic. I really like it when the trails go out into the woods and wind around. Very pretty. I hardly see or hear a snow-goer. When I do, I hop off the trail to avoid any conflicts. So far I have gotten nice little waves, and no one-fingered gestures. The snowmobilers must be quite organized to have trails run all through out the state like they do. Trails are always well marked and organized. I wish we could keep them up and going through out the year for the off road cyclists to use. I suppose it would be hard with cattle and such in the pastures. I wouldn’t wan to get run over by ‘Mad Cow Rage Pasturising’. Perhaps humped over a Mtn bike with bar ends we may look like a scrawny bull and be a threat to the local pasture stud. Yikes!
Have made some adjustments to the ride and hope to get out sometime on thursday to try them out. Stay warm.
Nice entry – and nicer efforts. I’m impressed by your dedication – and am feeling like such a slacker riding inside my living room on my trainer! Way to be an inspiration to those of us who are even bigger wusses when it comes to riding outside!
Great to see you up and blogging and riding. Have fun with the race. Love from the “East Side”
Ditto on the wussy trainer. I’ve even been a slacker on that. Good for you Melissa!
